more thoughts on black and white, etc.

Photographing a wedding in black and white, using primes only, is one of the most frustrating photographic endeavors Lajuanna and I have done. Instead of instantly conforming the tools to capture our vision, we must conform our vision to the tools in our hands. It's definitely a different mind-set. I also seriously questioned the sanity of capturing this gorgeous wedding in black and white only. The flowers were made by Shelly (the bride) and they were exquisite. The wedding ceremony was outside in a gorgeous park.

But when I finally get to seriously review the images, I'm always ecstatic over the "feel" and "ambiance" of the timeless black and white presentation. The image above is straight from the camera with no cropping, etc.

Absolutely stunning! What prime did you use?

Well, my vision was to stay with the 50mm 1.2 all day, but I "cheated" with the 24 1.4 and the 135 2.0. Lajuanna used the 50 1.4 and the 100 2.8 macro. The 50 was the main lens, though.
