In the Top Ten of Ten.Ten.Ten!!!

Just wanted everyone to see Jennifer's excitement when she and Jeff won a coveted Top Ten position in the Ten.Ten.Ten wedding!

"It was awesome!!!! My fiance Jeff and I won the spot in the top 10!!!!! We are so excited to be a part of this amazing contest. Thank you to all the people who are a giving their time and talents to this incredible event. We know you all are going to love us. Remember to vote for Jenn and Jeff!!!"

The rain made it challenging for us, but it was fun anyway! Though the turn out was fairly light, the couples we met were amazing! It's so much fun to meet these very cool people in person!!!

Mix and Mingle ten.ten.ten style

more thoughts on black and white, etc.

Photographing a wedding in black and white, using primes only, is one of the most frustrating photographic endeavors Lajuanna and I have done. Instead of instantly conforming the tools to capture our vision, we must conform our vision to the tools in our hands. It's definitely a different mind-set. I also seriously questioned the sanity of capturing this gorgeous wedding in black and white only. The flowers were made by Shelly (the bride) and they were exquisite. The wedding ceremony was outside in a gorgeous park.

But when I finally get to seriously review the images, I'm always ecstatic over the "feel" and "ambiance" of the timeless black and white presentation. The image above is straight from the camera with no cropping, etc.

the Arch, American Flag, and Rib Fest....

This gorgeous couple, James and Shelly from New Zealand, wanted a photograph with the Arch, one with the American Flag, and some pictures at the Rib Fest. This image captured all three plus the fact that they caused such a stir at the Rib Fest, they constantly had to wave to people. They also were interviewed twice! By the way, this is the first picture that popped up. The rest from their amazing wedding day are importing right now as we go grab a bite to eat. More to come!
