I recently logged more than 10lbs of weight loss. That's okay, but what's really cool is trying to change long-lived bad habits of inacitvity and poor nutrition.
I find that I'm really starting to like getting up early in the morning for a walk or a jog. My abilities are increasing with every day, but it's just an enjoyable activity to watch the sun come up for a new day.
One thing that I was recently introduced to (by my great friend Rich) was a site called MyFitnessPal. Not only does it have an extensive food database, but it also has an app for my phone which makes logging food and exercise easy. BUT, the part that's been the best, is it let's you link up to friends and you get updates on each other's progress. It has turned out to be a very good motivator to "compete" against a good freind who lives in Texas.
If you're looking for something like this, check out myfitnesspal.

:)
Okay, this shot here had the potential to be quite sexy...but you see I'm not extending my left foot....
Quite a compelling portrait - simple - no reflector or flash...just natural beautiful sunset light.... (300mm 2.8)
I loved this shot of Lyndsy on TOP of one of the barns...just doing her thing (300 2.8)
And of course, this is Lyndsy the exact moment after I said "I'm just gonna get one more shot" (for the tenth time). ;)

Lyndsy - part 3
final part of an extended session. I knew Lyndsy was ultra cool when she did not hesitate to climb this HUGE tree. I think she was having so much fun she forgot we were taking pictures! :) We pretty much put her through the ringer and she never missed a beat. gotta love it. this image was captured by Lajuanna using a 70-200 2.8 at about 130mm.
DVD tip
Do you burn your own DVDs for yourself or clients? The closest thing I've found to commercial quality printable hubs is the Verbatim DVD-R Inkjet Printable AquaAce Glossy, White, Hub Printable DVDs. You can usually find them on the internet. The print quality is amazing straight from the ink jet printer. They are the closest thing I've found to a $5000 dye sub DVD printer. Give them a shot if you haven't already found these wonderful discs. They have to say "AquaAce"

Emilys dashboard show...
Emily decided to leave St Louis and make a new life in Colorado. Before she left (late May), she took the time from her extremely busy schedule to share her exhibition with Lajuanna an me (at Webster). Of course I took pictures of her pictures of dashboards. Very original concept and if you notice, the different dashboards form a single dashboard going across. I hear she's lovin' being in th mountains. We definitely miss her but am so happy she's happy!

St Louis Aces - fun season for us
We were very lucky to be a part of the entire St Louis Aces (World Team Tennis) season this year. Among all the amazing players we watched, we got to see a lot of Lindsay Davenport above, Venus Williams below, and Anna Kournikova (bottom). If you haven't had a chance to experience WTT, check it out next year. It's a LOT of fun.
