meet Larry, "the Flagman"
Larry Eckhardt, who lives in Illinois, came in for the funeral of Airman 1st Class Zachary Cuddeback March 10th. He organized over 500 people to deploy 1050 flags along the procession route. He does this out of Patriotic Duty. He does not charge for the service. I asked him if he takes donations. He stated yes, but it's totally not necessary. He did say that O'Fallon IL had the most amazing turnout for A1C Cuddeback he's ever witnessed. Usually, he's doing good to have 300 people lined up to help. For the first time, he had over 500 volunteers come out to help with the job. Asked if he has an email address or webpage, he said "no, but my daughter is helping me put together a Facebook page." Thank you Larry! If you decide you would like to donate to his efforts, contact me and I'll forward his phone number and address. He travels all over providing this service in honor of the fallen veterans. He doesn't see it as much, but I think it's pretty amazing.
